Wisconsin Safety Council
Chevon is an experienced safety management consultant with 12+ years of extensive training and knowledge needed to help build a prominent safety culture within manufacturing and staffing settings. The first third of her career was spent as a risk consultant on the insurance side, providing loss control services such as safety program management/development, training and claim management to a wide range of industrial manufacturing companies, as well as conducting risk assessments to determine the probability of loss within all Property & Casualty lines of insurance. Chevon’s career then shifted to a food manufacturing setting, where she helped manage and develop safety programs, policies and trainings for all plant employees. While well-versed in all applicable safety programs for manufacturing settings, Chevon tended to focus her energy into maintaining OHSAS 18001 compliance, and developing and implementing behavior-based programs and risk assessments (job hazard analysis). Chevon also has leadership experience, having managed safety employees that came from union, non-union and student settings. Chevon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Whitewater in Occupational & Environmental Safety and Health. She is a long-standing member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the National Safety Council. Chevon is certified through the National Safety Council to deliver First Aid/CPR/AED training, and she is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Training, providing OSHA 10- & 30-hour classes to a wide variety of customers. She also spends time working with and recruiting coworkers to get involved in various volunteer projects, including Habitat for Humanity and Relay for Life.
